ArtygenSpace Co., Ltd. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use our mobile applications (textPy) and web services (bookar.ai the "Service"), and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Service, including:

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address, password (encrypted), and nickname. If you sign in via a third-party service (e.g., Google, Apple), we collect your authorized ID and email.
• User Content: We collect text, images, voice recordings, and documents that you voluntarily input, upload, or allow access to for the purpose of using our AI features (AR generation, content conversion, OCR, summarization, etc.).
• Customer Support: Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses and inquiry details) if you contact us.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Details: When you access the Service, we may automatically collect traffic data, logs, error reports, and other communication data.
• Device and Browser Information: We may collect information about your computer or mobile device and internet connection, including the device's unique identifier, operating system, browser type and version, and connection logs.
• Note: This data is used solely for security, error diagnosis, and service stabilization. We do not use it for profiling or personalized advertising.

C. Service Permissions

To provide specific features, we may request access via your browser or your device to your:

• Camera (bookar.ai): For AR preview and viewer functions.
• Camera (textPy): For capturing images to perform OCR.
• Microphone (textPy): For voice input to perform STT (Speech-to-Text).
• Storage/Files (textPy): For accessing documents or saving results.

You can manage these permissions in your browser or device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us:

• To Provide the Service: To perform core functions such as text analysis, translation, file conversion, AI-driven AR generation and eBook/EPUB conversion.
• To Manage Your Account: To identify you, authenticate your login, and manage your account status.
• To Improve Our Service: To analyze errors, ensure security, and upgrade service quality.
• To Communicate with You: To respond to your inquiries and send important notices regarding the Service.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties without your consent, except as described below:

A. Service Providers

We may disclose aggregated information or personal information to contractors and service providers we use to support our business:

• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (Amazon Web Services) or GCP (Google Cloud Platform) for data hosting and server infrastructure.
• Authentication: OAuth providers (Google, Apple) for login verification.
• Communication: Email service providers for sending verification codes.
• Payment Processing: Payment gateways and app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Payletter, and PayPal) for processing transactions and subscription management.

B. AI Service Providers (Third-Party APIs)

When you use AI-powered features, your input data (text, images, documents) is transmitted to third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Google) to generate the requested output. We make efforts to opt-out of data training where such options are available. However, the processing of data by these providers is subject to their respective privacy policies.

C. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

4. International Data Transfers

The Company is headquartered in South Korea. If you are accessing the Service from the United States, the European Union, or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from South Korean law, please note that your personal information is being transferred to, stored, and processed in South Korea.

By using the Service, you consent to your information being transferred to our facilities and to the facilities of those third parties with whom we share as described in this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy:

Uploaded Files/Content:

• epti.io: Raw files uploaded and their corresponding generated outputs (e.g., EPUB files) are stored on our servers for a default period of seven (7) days from the date of generation to allow for user downloads. This retention period may be extended or modified depending on your subscription plan, membership level, or specific service tier. Upon the expiration of the applicable retention period, these files are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered.
• bookar.ai: AR assets and related metadata are stored on our servers for the duration of your active account or until the specific content is deleted by the user.
• General Rule: Except as specified above, original uploaded files are generally deleted immediately after the transformation process is completed, unless temporary retention is required for troubleshooting or as otherwise specified by law.

Account Information:

Deleted immediately upon account termination.

Service Logs:

Retained for 1 year for security monitoring (Internal Policy).

Transaction Records:

Retained for up to 5 years as required by applicable electronic commerce laws.

6. Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These measures include encryption of data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (passwords), strict access controls, and regular security assessments.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA & PIPA Compliance)

Our Service is not intended for individuals under 14 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you are under 14, do not use or provide any information on this Service. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 14 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information immediately. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 14, please contact us.

8. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CPRA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Know/Access: Request disclosure of collection and use of your information over the past 12 months.
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal information that we have collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy and any disputes related thereto shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between the Company and you for any purpose concerning this Policy shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in South Korea.
